European wasps are a real problem in Melbourne's west from late summer into autumn, when nests reach their largest size. Around Caroline Springs, they often nest in the ground under lawns and garden beds, inside wall cavities, in roof spaces and in gaps behind retaining walls. Paper wasps build smaller, open nests under eaves, pergolas, fences and play equipment. If you see a steady stream of wasps going in and out of one small hole, there is almost certainly a nest behind it.
Wasps can sting more than once, and they defend the nest hard when it is disturbed, so it is not a job to take on with a garden hose or a can of fly spray. The crew we book comes with protective gear, finds the nest entrance, treats the nest directly and removes it where it can be reached. For nests inside walls or roofs, the entrance is treated so wasps carry the dust inside.

Wasps are drawn to meat, sweet drinks, fallen fruit and pet food left outside. Cover food at barbecues, keep bin lids shut and pick up fruit from under trees. Do not block a nest entrance yourself, as the wasps may find a new way into the house. If someone is stung, call 000 if it is serious, or ask a doctor.
Wasp nests can be treated on most days of the year in Caroline Springs. Call 03 7053 9836 with the nest location and we will give you upfront pricing and book a local crew.
